Notable Members and Collaborators

The Japanese Garden of Peace, pictured above, is part of the museum complex in Fredericksburg, Texas, which includes the boyhood home of the Drake Navigators Guild’s Honorary Chairman: Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz.  The traditional garden is a gift from the people of Japan to the people of America, part of the reconciliation between the United States and Japan and to honor the friendship between Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz and Admiral Heihachiro Togo.

In addition to Fleet Admiral Nimitz, the DNG has had many notable members and collaborators. Many of these people had deep and enduring friendships and several have had multiple generations of members.
